OUR HISTORY

In 1979, Ronald L. Lane put the finishing touches on his account of the 2nd Ranger Battalion’s D-Day combat action on Omaha Beach. He had finally completed his five year dream. However, when he shopped around for a publisher, there were none interested. Ron wasn’t going to let a small hurdle like that stop him. He was a graduate of West Point. He was an airborne ranger. He had served two tours in Vietnam while earning his Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He accomplished all this while supporting a family of five children with a sixth on the way. So he started his own publishing company and named it Ranger Associates, Inc.

In the early 90’s, Ranger Associates became the in-house printing and publishing company for another company that Ron had co-founded. In 1994, Bill took over the business and turned the in-house print shop into a full-service commercial printing company. After Ron’s passing in 1996, the printing business continued growing and Bill’s brothers Rob and Ron Jr. joined him. In 1999, they co-founded the promotional products division. Our brand name is now recognized throughout the world as Ranger Printing and Promotional Products.

Throughout the years, Ranger has consistently invested in new technology, the latest software and equipment, leading the way in meeting our print buyers’ needs. Ranger was also an integral partner in training other printers and instructors, and helped Heidelberg technicians understand the post-press operations for the print shop installation on the Queen Mary II cruise ship.

Today, Ranger continues to print Ron’s soft cover book “Rudder’s Rangers,” available directly from Ranger, or at Amazon.com. Besides soft cover books, the printing and promotional product options at Ranger are unlimited, and everything that we print is custom-tailored for many diverse clients throughout the United States and the world. Our team is committed to delivering high quality products and services. We pride ourselves on the ability to meet our customers’ needs with attention to detail and service.
